Removeable media (flashdrives/external hard drives)
Can anyone point me in the right direction on "hotplugging" devices like usb flash drives or external usb hard drives on Slackware? I have been googling it and not finding much out there.
hotplugging flashdrives/usb RESOLVED!!
Well I fingered out how to make automount work properly. Basically when you are in say XFCE and you plug a flashdrive in you get a window that pops up with errors saying it can't mount the device. What I did to fix this is go to /etc/group and add my username to the plugdev line. Now when I plug a flashdrive in it automounts with no problems.
