How to take credit for stuff you stole

I recently posted here "how to rip dvd from command line".All good so far.I also decided to post the same thing over at linux.com.After waiting a while to see if my article was published,I decided to search for "dvd rip".I found my article but it had been posted word for word by someone else.This didn't bother me as people will still see it and maybe find it helpful but the poster didn't even give credit to where he got the article.This is not in the spirit of open source and sharing.Sorry to moan but thanks for reading.
