Hello from a Slackware fan
Always a fan of forums and I also love Slackware so, I thought I would drop by and say hello.
I work for Opera Software as a QA in our Linux/FreeBSD team and often write on the Opera Desktop Team Blog announcing public development builds and gathering feedback. I also 'unofficially' maintain the Opera packages for SalixOS (a Slackware variant).
I haven't actually been running Slackware as my main desktop for too long, a bit over a year perhaps (having previously used Arch, where I still maintain some Opera Next packages on their user repository).
I occasionally my thoughts on Slackware on my personal blog (when I am not writing about Opera!) e.g.:
http://my.opera.com/ruario/blog/2011/03/13/slackware-a-simple-and-easy-to-use-linux-distribution
http://my.opera.com/ruario/blog/2011/09/26/slackware-package-and-dependency-management
Anyway, that is probably enough for now. Don't want to bore you all!
